Privacy Policy

Effective date: 12 June 2026

1. Introduction

This policy explains what personal data Food on Fire Barbeque & Grill ("Food on Fire", "we") collects when you use our website foodonfire.in or our mobile app (together, the "Platform"), why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to take your order and deliver your food.

2. What we collect

  • Account details: your name, mobile number (verified by OTP) and, optionally, your email address.
  • Delivery addresses you save or enter at checkout.
  • Location: with your permission, your device's precise location is used at checkout to place your delivery pin and calculate the delivery fee. While an order is out for delivery, our rider's live location is shared with you so you can track your food.
  • Order history: the items, amounts, delivery details and status of your orders, plus any rating or review you choose to leave.
  • Payment status: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded (with its payment reference) — we never receive or store your card number, UPI PIN or banking credentials.
  • Push notification token (mobile app only): an anonymous device identifier from Firebase Cloud Messaging, used to send you order-status updates.
  • Usage data: basic, aggregate visit counts used to understand how the Platform is used. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking networks.

3. How we use your data

  • To take, prepare, deliver and support your orders.
  • To verify your identity at login (OTP) and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To notify you about your order's status (on-site, and by push notification if you use our app).
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as tax and food-safety record keeping.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who we share it with

  • Our delivery partner sees your name, address and phone number — only what's needed to deliver your order.
  • Service providers that run the Platform for us: Razorpay (payments), Google Firebase (OTP login and push notifications), Google Maps (maps and delivery distance), Cloudinary (food images) and Render (website hosting). Each receives only the data needed for its function.
  • Authorities, if required by law.

5. Cookies and sessions

We use only essential cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in (for up to 7 days) and a security (CSRF) cookie that protects forms. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

6. Push notifications (mobile app)

If you use our app, we send order-status notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can stop them at any time by turning off notifications for the app in your phone's settings, logging out, or deleting your account.

7. How long we keep data

Your account data is kept while your account is active. Order and billing records are retained as required by Indian tax and GST laws, even after an account is deleted. Push notification tokens are deleted when you log out, uninstall the app, or delete your account.

8. Your rights and choices

  • Access and correction: view and edit your name, email and addresses any time in My Profile.
  • Account deletion: delete your account yourself from My Profile → Delete account (on the website or in the app). This permanently erases your name, mobile number, email, saved addresses, coupons and notification tokens, and deactivates your login. Order records are anonymised from your account and retained only as required for tax purposes.
  • You can also write to us at foodonfirebbq@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights.

9. Security

All traffic to the Platform is encrypted with HTTPS. Logins are verified server-side, payments are signature-verified with Razorpay, and access to personal data is limited to what each role needs. No system is 100% secure, but we follow current good practices to protect your data.

10. Children

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 or over; younger users should order with a parent or guardian's involvement. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Grievances

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, complaints or concerns about your personal data can be raised with our Grievance Officer:
